New Wave's support of Port Aransas is at the forefront of our business plan. We have developed the "Protect Port A Program" which is designed to help maintain the island's natural beauty. This was started by creating local partnerships with companies on the island to provide each guest with a Welcome Basket. This basket includes local items and comes with a "Keep Port A Beautiful"trash bag. Each bag can be returned to our office full of beach trash and in exchange, we will give you a gift certificate to a local business. This creates a win/win opportunity to participate in a rewarding activity and in return save some dollars on local gifts.
The second part of the Protect Port A Project is New Wave donates time and resources to local non-profits along with a percentage of our rental collections. We have designed and offer the 'Protect Port A' bracelet in our gift baskets as well as, for sale at our local office. With each purchase New Wave donates all proceeds to a different island non profit each quarter.
The "Protect Port A Project" allows you to get involved while you're here enjoying your stay. It is a great way for families to particiapate and teach children that the environment is in need of everyone's help. We have made Port Aransas our home and are working hard to make sure guests enjoy it as much as we do.
When you pack up to head back home, New Wave offers to bring your unopened, non-perishable food to our local food pantry. Just leave it on your kitchen counter and we will take care of the rest.
