Hurricane Update

We are currently aware of the hurricane and tropical storm warnings issued for parts of Mexico and possibly South Texas and are actively monitoring the situation.

Update: Sat 7/6/24 at 5:00pm  Port Aransas loves sharing this beautiful island with the world, but being on the coast means the town is at an increased risk of being impacted by storm systems in the Gulf of Mexico.

The City of Port Aransas and Nueces County are keeping a close eye on Tropical Storm/Hurricane Beryl, which is expected to make landfall on the Texas coast in the early hours of Monday morning as a Category 1 hurricane.

Mandatory Visitor Evacuation Set For Noon Sunday, July 7

If you are in Port Aransas visiting right now, please cut your visit short and evacuate the island. All visitors are expected to be out of Port Aransas by noon tomorrow.

Citizens on the coast, in low-lying areas, or those who need special assistance are encouraged to evacuate. All short-term RVs visitors should leave today if possible.

If you have an upcoming vacation to Port Aransas on Sunday, July 7 or Monday, July 8, it's time to briefly postpone your arrival until the storm passes through the area Monday and until after the storm impacts can be assessed.

In the meantime, the residents of Port Aransas appreciate any goodwill and thoughts you can send this way! Keep an eye on the page linked below for more information.
