Sea of Tranquility

We love this place! It’s our 3rd time to stay here. The location on 11th Street is close to the beach as well as all the shops & restaurants in town. The beds are comfortable, kitchen is well stocked, it’s decorated nicely, nice & roomy and the ice machine is a nice addition.

This was our third stay in this property. We really like the home and feel it is appointed very well. We also like the rental agency (New Wave). Hence, our third stay. The ice maker is a really nice touch. We are super clean people and the home generally meets our standards with a few expected touch-ups upon arrival. Anything that isn't right is quickly addressed by New Wave. We think they are a great rental company that really cares about Port A, their properties and their renters. Unfortunately, the small community that this rental is attached to is either poorly managed (not by New Wave) or has trashy owners. The pool is almost always dirty and full of sand and beach toys. This time it was full of boogie boards, sand toys, beer caps, and of course full of sand. The people in the neighboring units that use the pool have loud parties and screaming children that you hear for many hours very late into every evening. In the morning there is usually evidence of the prior evenings chaos all around the pool. We found the grill (that has usually been in the backyard of this property) in the community space by the pool and reclaimed it to cook out. It was again removed from the property by the neighbors before we checked out. We love the property and even though we didn't bring our dogs on this trip, we love that it is pet friendly when we do want to bring them. I just don't know that we feel it is worth it to continue to deal with the loud, trashy neighbors and the filthy pool. Sadly, there is probably very little that the owner or property managers can do to rectify these issues. Fortunately, there is a breezeway between this property and the adjoining properties, so if you don't care about the pool or the grill, you can mostly avoid the neighbors and probably be pretty happy in the unit.

The house was conveniently located to the beach, very spacious, and clean. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved playing games at the large kitchen table. I would recommend this house and would stay here again.

Overall me and my party had a great stay. The place is beautiful and everything is labeled to find things easy. Great communication with host and they were very responsive with minor issues we had. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

We’ll definitely book again!

We really liked this rental but were disappointed in a couple of things. We were only there for 3 nights so we didn’t contact the property manager and just made the best of it.
- The downstairs was a little too warm and seemed to have a difficult time getting cool. We slept in the downstairs bedroom and it was uncomfortably warm the whole time. The family members that stayed upstairs on the 2nd floor said the air blew super cold upstairs and they were really cold upstairs. It was strange that the upstairs was so much cooler than downstairs, it’s usually the opposite.
- the pool on the property was in pretty bad shape. It looked like it was overdue for a clean. We didn’t use the pool due to uncleanliness concerns. We understand that sand in the pool is common but the water was green and there was algae on the pool walls with strange looking foam on top of the water.
I will add that the unit was very clean when we arrived, the rooms are nicely decorated, and the rental is well equipped.

The house was a perfect getaway for us. Close to the beach and anything you need in town. This house was set up to be the perfect home away from home. Best highlight was the ice machine. Definitely will plan another stay here.

The home from day one was every bit of perfection. It was clearly new, kept clean, all appliances worked, AC was strong and kept everyone comfortable. Everyone had such a great experience, even my dog who’s typically nervous by nature. Instead she felt at home immediately. We’ll definitely be back next summer if available.

Nice property. Plenty of dishes and silverware. Good knife set. Good location. Shared pool that was heated. Massive TV in the living room. Overall a very nice place. New Wave was great to work with and were there every time we needed them.

I was looking for a place that had “adult” beds in each room. Sea of Tranquility filled that requirement and so much more! When we arrived we were walking through water from recent rains and were tracking it into the house. I called the office and explained the issue. In less than 30 minutes extra rugs were delivered. The house was so well equipped. Everything we needed in the kitchen including a blender and hand mixer! The wine fridge was an added bonus. Beds were comfy with soft sheets. There were plenty of towels. Everyone agreed that this should be our location for next thanksgiving.

This property was perfect for our family vacation. We have small kiddos and it was very spacious and accommodated all our needs. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of bedding and blankets. Location was perfect for the beach access and to local restaurants. Rental company was AMAZING! I’m so glad we were able to rent a golf cart directly from them. While on the beach it broke down and we called them and they came immediately and replaced it. They communicated very well and were very quick to respond to any questions. Will be staying here again!

3 couples, each had separate bathroom which was nice. Kitchen was well set up and had all we needed to get set up. We didn't use the pool but it was convenient. The beach was a short drive. All the restaurants and attractions were a short drive. Super location and lovely, comfortable home. Definitely a winner and perfect place for our stay.

We had a wonderful stay here. House very well laid out and roomy. Beds were great! Lot of amenities that were not even listed. Well stocked kitchen. Bath in every BR. Great pool and great location. Can't go wrong here.
